P6 and P2 have started shared reading . The 2 classes plan to read together every second Wednesday. The first day of Shared Reading was a huge success, with everybody really enjoying it. All the children have Reading Buddies and can’t wait until the next time they read together.

Thanks to everybody who brought in Tesco Vouchers. We ended up with just over 25 000 !!! With the vouchers we managed to get 3 new digital cameras for the school which have already been very useful…so a BIG THANKYOU TO YOU ALL!
The nursery children have been learning all about the sea. They read the Rainbow Fish and have made it into a super sea display.
P6 and P7 went to Eden Court to see Chris Riddell and Paul Stewart. Between them they they have written and illustrated many books. Lots of us are now inspired to read and write.

Here’s my review of the event…..
We all went to Eden Court to listen to a book report
We met the men who took paper and pen
and churned out books again and again.
We watched Chris draw,
I liked what I saw.
A big, big bear is what he drew there.
While Chris did the chalking, Paul did the talking.
He said a book took a year to write,
it took that long to get it right.
P7 has been great so far we have settled in really well. We have Miss Macaulay and we get Mrs Birnie on a Tuesday and Ross County come and do training with us. On Thursdays we go swimming. We are going to see a High School Musical by Milburn Academy on the 30th of September . We went to Eden C ourt to see an Author and an illustrator called Stewart and Riddell. Our topic is on World War 2 and we are getting on really well with it . We will share some of our work and photos with you soon. Bye for now! Stacie
