P6 Make Magnificent Models!

P6 have been learning about Europe this term.  We were given a Home Link Activity by Ms Banks to make a model of any famous building or statue in Europe.  The results are AMAZING!!!  The buildings included the Eiffel Tower, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the O2 Arena, Big Ben, Tower Bridge, the Atomium in Brussels, The Arc de Triomphe, Brandenburg Gate, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Littel Mermaid statue in Denmark...and there's more to come! Some of them are shown here...the others will be on the blog on Monday!

Street Jam with P1-3

Andy McKechnie from Street Jam has us all on the floor!

Andy McKechnie from Street Jam has us all on the floor!

This is P1-3 doing Street Jam with Andy McKechnie.  We had to do some dances and some exercising to music.  While we were doing it Mrs Mackay was taking photos of the dancing and some of us were very good at it.  Sophie was on the stage helping to teach the dances.  Our favourite dance move was ‘feed the chickens’.  I hope we do it again another time.

Humpty Dumpty getting a swing!

Humpty Dumpty getting a swing!

P3 have been playing singing games with Mrs Rae.    We have  been playing fun games like The Grand Old Duke of York and Swing Me Over.  We learned a new song called Engine Engine Number 9, it was good.  Our favourite song is Tip Toe Tip Toe Quiet as a Mouse because someone in the class gets to hide under the sheet.

Primary 3 Work week beginning 09.11.09

Primary 3 have been working on times tables, so far we have learned the 2,3,4,5 and 10. For writing this week we did an advert for a friend before we started we looked in a newspaper to see how adverts were made. Primary 3 are learning to be successful learners, we’ve tried to be an example to others by thinking about what we need to improve in our work.
